WoodTech Opens Its Doors for the 39th Edition, Bringing the Woodworking Machinery Industry Together!
WoodTech, one of the leading international meeting platforms for the woodworking machinery and production technologies industry, has opened its doors for the 39th edition. Taking place from October 22–25 at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul, the fair brings industry professionals together to explore the latest developments in automation, digitalization and smart manufacturing technologies, while creating new opportunities for international trade and business partnerships.
Bringing together the woodworking machinery, cutting tools and hand tools industries, WoodTech 2026 is organized by Reed Tüyap Fairs Inc. in cooperation with the Turkish Woodworking Machinery Industrialists Association (AIMSAD) and with the support of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye and the European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers (EUMABOIS). The fair provides an international platform for industry professionals seeking to enhance their production processes, evaluate new machinery investments and establish valuable business connections.
Showcasing a comprehensive range of products and technologies, from CNC machining centers, panel sizing and edge-banding systems to log and timber processing machinery and surface treatment technologies, the fair highlights next-generation solutions designed to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
WoodTech Ranks as Europe's Second-Largest Fair in Its Sector
Highlighting the fair's significance for the industry, RX Tüyap General Manager, Berkan Öner emphasized that WoodTech has strengthened its international position through 39 consecutive years of successful organization.
"WoodTech is now the largest fair of its kind in Eurasia and the second-largest in Europe. This year, we are bringing together more than 300 companies and showcasing over 3,000 machines across the exhibition halls. Alongside Türkiye's leading manufacturers, international companies from countries including Germany, Italy, the United States and China are also participating in the fair.
"Automation, artificial intelligence and next-generation interconnected machinery are among the key highlights of this year's exhibition.
"With an annual trade volume of approximately USD 350–400 million and exports approaching USD 140–150 million, our industry relies on platforms such as WoodTech to support commercial growth and international business development. We expect the fair to generate commercial activity equivalent to approximately one-third of the industry's total trade volume.
"Through our extensive business connections spanning Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and other international markets, we aim to contribute to the export strength of our industry.
"This year, we expect to welcome a total of 20,000 domestic and international visitors. I hope WoodTech will be a productive event for our industry, creating new partnerships and valuable business opportunities," Öner said.
WoodTech: One of the Most Important Gateways Connecting Our Industry to the World
Commenting on WoodTech's contribution to strengthening the industry's position in international markets, Arif Onur Kaçak, Board Member and Secretary General of the Woodworking Machinery Industrialists Association (AIMSAD), emphasized the fair's important role in enhancing the global competitiveness of Turkish machinery manufacturers.
"WoodTech holds a particularly important place in connecting our industry with the rest of the world. Since its beginnings in 1988, the fair has contributed to the growth of numerous Turkish brands and helped them gain recognition in international markets.
"Today, we are proud that WoodTech has become the second-largest fair in Europe, the third-largest in the world and the largest in Eurasia within its sector.
"WoodTech is not only a meeting point for our industry but also a strategic platform where Turkish machinery manufacturers demonstrate their competitiveness in global markets," Kaçak said.
Highlighting the quality and manufacturing capabilities of Türkiye's woodworking machinery industry, Kaçak also addressed the sector's export performance and ongoing technological transformation.
"Our industry recorded approximately USD 145 million in exports last year. During the first eight months of this year, exports reached nearly USD 80 million.
"Although uncertainties in global markets and rising costs continue to challenge our competitiveness, Turkish manufacturers are closely following technological developments.
"Digital and green transformation, automation and next-generation manufacturing technologies are playing an increasingly important role in shaping the future of our industry.
"By bringing the latest examples of this transformation together with international industry professionals, WoodTech creates new opportunities for business partnerships and export growth," he stated.
Mustafa Sabri Erol, Chairman of the Board of the Woodworking Machinery Industrialists Association (AIMSAD), also expressed his expectations for the fair:
"I believe that WoodTech, bringing industry professionals together for the 39th time, will contribute to the continued development of the woodworking machinery industry and foster new business partnerships. I wish all our exhibitors, our industry and our country a successful and productive fair, with strong participation and valuable commercial opportunities," Erol said.
Bülent Ünal, Chairman of the Board of Tüyap Fairs & Exhibition Group, highlighted the fair's contribution to the industry's development:
"WoodTech is an important meeting point that continues to raise the bar for our industry year after year. I hope this year's event, which makes valuable contributions to our national economy and the growth of the sector, will once again be a successful and productive gathering for all our stakeholders," Ünal stated.
International Buyer Delegations Gather in Istanbul for B2B Meetings
The VIP Hosted Buyer Program organized as part of WoodTech brings purchasing professionals and decision-makers from different countries together with exhibiting companies to develop new commercial partnerships.
